Bob Steinerd, program director of GartnerGroup’s IT Executive Program, has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry. He joined Dataquest, now a business unit of GartnerGroup, in 1992 as vice president and service director for Dataquest’s IT Services research area and later became vice president of operations for Dataquest held many diverse assignments in the IT services area including project management for the initial IBM/Kodak Asia/Pacific. In his current position at GartnerGroup, Bob works very closely with CIOs of large companies in the Northeast United States. In this role he has a clear view into the minds of today’s CIOs and an in depth understanding of their motivations.
