ITSMA announced more than two dozen finalists for our 2017 Marketing Excellence Awards (MEA) last week, and their submissions demonstrate the expanding scope and impact that B2B marketers are having on growth and transformation for the digital economy.

MEA 2017 Finalists announced

“It’s been fascinating to see how each year the submissions get better, more innovative, creative, and impactful,” noted Cynthia Curtis, Vice President of Sustainability at JLL and a long-time MEA judge. “Marketing as a function and profession continues to evolve, and that’s reflected in the ITSMA award submissions. It makes it incredibly challenging to select a winner, which is exactly why I love it!”

Unisys, a finalist with programs in two different categories, Sales Enablement and Customer Success, is a great example. As Judy Jones, Marketing Director for Client Satisfaction and Loyalty, noted:

These programs demonstrate Unisys’ commitment to innovation in marketing that stimulates the growth of our business; they better enable our sales and delivery teams to focus on what matters most to our current and future clients—understanding their business and being proactive in bringing innovative ideas that help them deliver greater value to their customers and citizens.

The award program honors the marketing programs, campaigns, and new initiatives that have demonstrated superior performance in the four most critical aspects of marketing success: strategy and planning, innovation, execution, and business results. The program focuses exclusively on marketing for B2B services and solutions, and highlights the most important dimensions of a strategic, comprehensive approach to marketing.

“Business transformation is putting great pressure on marketers to perform at their absolute best,” said Dave Munn, President and CEO of ITSMA. “And these finalists are more than up to the challenge. Across all of our award categories this year, including a new one specifically on Transforming Marketing for Digital Leadership, we’ve been incredibly impressed with the level of both creative innovation and hard business results.”

Several winners will also speak at the two-day conference, sharing highlights and lessons learned from their award-winning case studies.
