Eric Peterson

VP, Health Care Operations Marketing, Optum

Eric serves as Vice President of Health Care Operations Marketing for Optum.  In this role Eric’s responsibilities include leading a team focused on clearly and distinctly representing Optum’s capabilities in the areas of claims payment, quality optimization, operational best practices, technology innovation and consulting.  Prior roles within Optum include leading the Payer Marketing team focused on Optum’s alignment with health plans and serving as the solution marketer for Optum’s analytic and clinical management product areas.

Before joining Optum in 2013, Eric most recently worked for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in various roles spanning Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy and Marketing over seven years.   In addition, Eric’s work experience includes Corporate Finance and Consulting in markets outside of health care.

Eric has a Master’s of Business Administration from The University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University
