David Bush is IBM’s Director of Marketing Analytics & Data Science, where he leads teams to build data-driven management systems and advanced analytics capabilities that drive revenue performance. Leading up to this role, David was an Associate Partner in IBM Global Business Services, where he led a wide range of strategy and analytics consulting projects over 7 years, spanning projects addressing sales analytics, Watson DeepQA commercialization and pricing, go-to-market strategies, macroeconomic resource forecasting, and sales incentives.
Prior to joining IBM, David was a behavioral neuroscientist leading research programs focused on brain systems underlying motivation, stress, and emotional memory. David earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in behavioral neuroscience, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at New York University’s Center for Neuroscience, and then an MBA from the Stern School of Business, with specializations in Business Analytics and Strategy.
David’s organization in IBM Marketing Analytics develops analytics capabilities that are directly aligned to transforming business performance via data-driven management systems. Project examples include multi-touch attribution, lead scoring, marketing-sales systems, and audience-media-content optimization for marketing campaigns.
