Microsoft Corporation, the world’s largest software company, is touted as a company that has achieved best practice status across a range of strategic and operational business practices. From its marketing expertise to its technical innovations, Microsoft excellence (and dominance) in the software industry are acknowledged by most industry participants. ITSMA, however, has identified Microsoft as a best practice company in an entirely new area: that of organization alignment around a services strategy.
