Richard leads ITSMA Europe’s thought leadership research, executive events, professional development programmes, and consultancy, all designed to keep members and clients at the forefront of marketing practice. Although qualified as a Control Systems engineer with grounding in the aerospace industry, Richard has 30 years of marketing, business development, general management, and consultancy experience.
Prior to joining ITSMA, Richard held board positions with global technology-based businesses in the UK, France, and the USA, across the software, systems, telecommunications and services sectors. As President of European operations for NASDAQ quoted Odetics Group, Seymour managed and developed the business in numerous industries. Prior to Odetics, Richard was MD of AT&T’s financial services business, and executive director of Apricot Computers Plc, where he held positions as Sales and Marketing Director, and Managing Director of the International business, which included a period in Paris, France running the French subsidiary.
In recent times, Richard has provided go-to-market consulting and board level advice with businesses such as BT, Hays Plc, and emerging technology players such as Kainos Software.

Jerry Dixon supports ITSMA Europe members around their marketing priorities and decision making through consultancy, research, and analysis. A creative and enthusiastic practitioner, he has over 20 years of business-to-business services marketing experience gained in the IT, telecommunications, and professional services sectors.
Jerry has led a variety of strategic marketing projects for the UK, EMEA, and worldwide markets, and has developed strategic and tactical marketing solutions for companies including Microsoft, T-Mobile, Cellnet, Clifford Chance, Marshalls, IBM, and ICO Global Communications.
Prior to joining ITSMA, Jerry did consulting work for a global professional services organization, creating a strategic framework and providing recommendations for the development of Internet-based services. Before that, he designed and managed a major primary market research and business modeling project for an international telecommunications operator to substantiate the worldwide business opportunity for a new service; subject to due diligence scrutiny, his work provided the basis for financing.

David works with ITSMA Europe members on improving the strategic effectiveness of marketing and sales resources. He specialises in relationship management, client satisfaction improvement, the deployment of marketing and sales systems and processes, and the delivery and development of training. Across these areas David applies excellent consulting, change management, project management, quality management, and leadership skills.
David joined ITSMA Europe from IBM, where he was most recently responsible for client satisfaction improvement across IBM’s business units in Northern Europe. Prior to that, he held client-facing roles with both P&L responsibility and core operational roles. His background of line management roles in delivering services to clients and change to marketing and sales at all levels enables him to deliver practical programmes with significant value to his clients.

As an Associate Director with ITSMA Europe, Geoff works on strategic marketing issues such brand strategy, brand creation, market segmentation, portfolio analysis, solutions marketing and value propositions, sales enablement, and customer experience management.
He is a brand, marketing and business development specialist who has managed global brands in blue-chip consumer goods, retail, professional and financial services organisations—most recently as Head of Brand at Lloyd’s of London and Global Brand Director of PwC Consulting, where he gained extensive management consulting experience. With experience of brand and business strategy, building a brand from inside the organisation, creating powerful employer brands expressed throughout the business and devising effective brand tracking systems, he is able to help organisations better integrate their brand with their business, customer and employee needs. He is expert in the development and implementation of effective external and internal marketing strategies, including the design of global marketing structures and effective communications programmes.
Geoff’s marketing career after Cambridge has included 12 years at GSK, where he managed well known consumer brands, such as Night Nurse, Aquafresh, Vosene, and Airwick plus 6 years in retailing as a Marketing Director with Dixons Stores Group and others.
Senior Associate and Director of Public Sector Practice, ITSMA Europe

Trained in Economics and Social Science at London and Oxford Universities, Geoff’s business experience spans both public and private sectors unified by a focus on change management, marketing, business planning, and communications. At ITSMA, he is spearheading the development of membership in public sector organisations which are increasingly interested in marketing as a discipline to support the Government’s wide-ranging service transformation plans.
During twenty years in the public sector—in the Manpower Services Commission, the BBC, and the Post Office — his career embraced a diverse set of roles from Personal Assistant to the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Post Office to responsibility for launching the BBC’s “Audience Reaction Service.”
He was responsible for the re-launch of Royal Mail Parcels as “Parcelforce” in 1989 — a brand that has stood the test of time in a very fluid industry — and was latterly director of the “Masterbrand” programme, designed to leverage the strength of Royal Mail’s 350-year old brand values.
After joining Sema Group Consulting in 1996 his roles included consultancy, account direction for major Government Departments, and he was, latterly, Director of Strategy and Government Relations. Following a period with Siemens Business Services in account direction and bid leadership, he established his own consultancy, RPM Business Consulting, in 2006. His clients have included the biggest global SI players and small niche companies with hot ideas.
As a Main Board member of Intellect, the UK IT Trade Association, he chairs the Transport Group, and is also a Warden of the City Livery Company of Management Consultants.
ITSMA Associate Focusing on Sales Enablement
Howard works with B2B organisations in the IT, Telecoms and Services industries. He helps marketing teams to improve sales enablement and customer experiences, which reduces the cost and effort of moving a prospect through the buying process. By applying his skills and experience in marketing, sales and software development with professional qualifications in business and marketing he generates better understanding and realistic interventions.
After a degree in Business Administration at Bath University with specialisation in marketing and organisational behaviour, Howard has worked in the IT Industry for over 25 years. He is ex-IBM, Honeywell and DEC, and in the 1990s joined BT to work with Insurance customers. Howard is a CIM Chartered Marketer and has led innovative programmes driving BT’s transformation for its major business customers. His strengths lie in his sales experience and commercial approach to marketing. A consultant since 2006, Howard has delivered a variety of programmes for B2B organisations. Recent engagements include establishing a sales approach based on understanding business needs, training sales in matching selected value-adds to customer requirements and identifying how to improve customer satisfaction with an outsourced service.
Howard is also a keen cyclist who leads rides for people who are building their confidence and fitness, as well as making solo tours along Britain’s rugged coasts.
