This is
the third iteration of the Professional Services and E-Business Solutions
Brand Awareness Study conducted by ITSMA. The data were collected during
the months of May and June 2000. ITSMA's Brand Awareness Study provides
a combination of general e-business professional services brand awareness
and positioning information and firm-specific detailed analysis. The study's
emphasis is on Web-based technology solutions, Internet consulting, and
e-business solutions and services providers.
With this information, e-business professional services providers will
be able to establish a baseline awareness and market perception of positioning
for their companies and competitors. Armed with this data, services providers
will be better able to plan marketing initiatives to shape the market's
perceptions and track the effectiveness of marketing programs on an ongoing
basis.
In this survey, ITSMA interviewed 400 key decision makers from Fortune
1000 companies, government entities, and health care institutions. The
interviews focused on awareness of e-business services providers and descriptions
of what these companies do and how they do it. Opinions were obtained
from both MIS executives and business executives.
