ITSMA Hires Two Seasoned Executives to Grow the Business
Bob Baginski, formerly of Accenture, Satyam, and CSC, and Ajit Maira,
previously with CA, Xerox, and IBM, join ITSMA’s leadership team
LEXINGTON, Massachusetts—September 5, 2007—ITSMA,
a marketing association that helps the world's leading professional services,
technology, and communications firms improve the impact of their marketing
and sales activities, today announced that Bob Baginski and Ajit Maira
have joined the company’s executive leadership team. Baginski,
a 25-year veteran of professional services marketing, has been appointed
senior vice president of member engagement. He will be responsible for
ensuring that members receive maximum value from their memberships and
for driving ITSMA's growth into new markets. Maira, who has 40 years
of experience in marketing, strategy, sales, and consulting, has been
appointed senior vice president of consulting and training, and will
be responsible for managing and delivering custom projects.

and Ajit, with their deep experience in professional services and technology
marketing and strategy, will help enhance the value that we provide to
our members, as well increase our growth.”
Prior to joining ITSMA, Baginski served as the senior vice president
of Global Marketing and Communications for Satyam, where he introduced
a program to reposition the company from an Indian outsourcing provider
to a global consulting, technology services, and outsourcing/BPO leader.
Before joining Satyam, Baginski spent eight years at Accenture, where
he held a number of roles, including global director of integrated marketing
for the company’s Business Consulting unit. He also directed Accenture’s
Thought Leadership marketing and Credentials programs. Prior to joining
Accenture, Baginski held marketing and sales management roles at CSC,
Ernst & Whinney, and Cleveland Consulting Associates.
Baginski has been an ITSMA member since 1994 and served on its Board
of Advisors. “I’ve always been impressed by how committed
ITSMA is to ensuring that members optimize the return on their membership
investment,” said Baginski. “I look forward to joining the
team to help deliver even greater value and grow the business.”
Before Ajit Maira joined ITSMA, he owned and operated a management and
marketing consulting firm with over 25 clients, including CA, Iron Mountain,
and Unisys. Prior to starting his company in 2004, Maira spent six years
at CA, where he held roles including principal of corporate strategy
in CA’s Corporate Strategy Group; senior vice president in the
Office of the CTO; senior vice president and general manager of the Business
Solutions Group; and senior vice president and general manager of the
Business Assessment and Consulting Practice. Over the years, Maira has
also held leadership roles in marketing, sales, and services for Raytheon
Data Systems, Xerox, Digital Equipment Corp., and IBM.
