ITSMA Announces Categories for 10th Annual Marketing Excellence
Awards
New categories for 2007 include "Leveraging Digital Marketing
Channels" and "Improving Marketing and Sales Collaboration"
LEXINGTON, Massachusetts—March 5, 2007—ITSMA, a membership
organization that helps companies market and sell services and solutions,
is pleased to announce the launch of its 2007 Marketing Excellence Awards
program.
The awards program, now in its tenth year, honors the marketing strategies,
programs, and campaigns that have achieved excellence at IT, telecom,
and professional services firms worldwide. The awards put special emphasis
on marketing innovation, program execution, and business results.
Categories for 2007
Entries for the 2007 Marketing Excellence Awards program may be submitted
in the following six categories:
Building the Solutions Business: Developing and managing the
solutions portfolio, measuring the solutions business, and redefining
the role of marketing and sales in bringing the company's vision for
solutions to life.
Sharpening Competitive Differentiation: Analyzing position
and differentiation vis-à-vis major competitors, developing
differentiated messaging for specific markets and offers, implementing
integrated campaigns, and documenting results.
Generating Demand through Targeted Campaigns: Designing, launching,
and managing focused campaigns that utilize multiple demand generation
tactics in an integrated fashion.
Improving Marketing and Sales Collaboration: Integrating activities
on key initiatives with near- and longer-term payoff, agreeing on core
performance metrics for integrated activities, deepening personal and
cultural interaction, and changing the organization to strengthen ongoing
collaboration.
Strengthening Customer Relationships: Developing and managing
innovative, integrated relationship building programs for existing
customers and demonstrating measurable relationship growth results.
Leveraging Digital Marketing Channels: Using new digital channels
to obtain customer and market insight and disseminate company thought
leadership, connecting with customers and market influencers in constructive
and interactive discussions, and generating leads with digital marketing
campaigns.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 15, 2007. The winners will
be announced at a special awards dinner at ITSMA’s Annual Marketing
Conference on November 14, 2007.
Last year's winners included Accenture, Avaya, CDW, Cisco Systems, EMC
Corporation, Lucent Technologies, Nokia Networks, Northrop Grumman, Symbol
Technologies, and Xerox Global Services.
